We continue to use this as the standard upper limit for the size of small groups because it has consistently been highlighted as an important selling element by all of our client’s testimonials. Because of the frequent positive feedback we’ve received from our guests regarding our ability to handle small groups, we’ve decided that this will be the typical maximum number of people in a group.

Frequently Asked Questions

➤ When was Banteay Srei temple built?

Banteay Srei is a 967 Shiva temple.
The temple is 26 kilometers (16 miles) northeast of Angkor Thom and 29 kilometers (18 miles) from Angkor Wat.
Banteay Srei’s buildings are small and different from those of other Angkor temples.
Banteay Srei is called “the woman temple,” “the small temple,” and “the pink temple.” These titles show how distinctive this tiny temple is compared to the enormous Angkorian complex. Modern Banteay Srei means “citadel of women” or “citadel of beauty.” Formerly Tribhuvanamahesvara.
Red sandstone gave the temple its rosy tint. “The Pink Temple” is Banteay Srei’s nickname.
Carve red sandstone like wood. Banteay Srei’s intricate wall carvings are famous.

➤ How long to Banteay Srei?

The picturesque minibus ride from the Angkor temples takes about 30 minutes via villages and paddy fields.

➤ Who erected Pre Rup and East Mebon Temples?

King Rajendravarman built East Mebon and Pre Rup in the mid-10th century. East Mebon, dedicated to the king’s parents in 953, is east of Phimeanakas.
East Mebon, located in the middle of East Baray, which is now dry, was only accessible by boat. Pre Rup was built outside the Baray in 961.
The Twin Temples are two temples.
Though they differ, they are built similarly.
Older Angkor temples—or temple mountains—are Hindu-style (dedicated to Shiva).

➤ Preah Khan’s age?

The Preah Khan temple complex was built in the late 12th century using Bayon architecture. It was previously a Buddhist monastery and school with around 1,000 monks. King Jayavarman VII lived here while building Angkor Thom, the royal capital. Preah Khan, dedicated to Jayavarman VII’s father, resembles the Ta Prohm Temple, dedicated to his mother.

➤ Preah Khan Temple’s builder?

To honor his father, King Dharanindravarman II, Jayavarman VII built Preah Khan in the 12th century. It was a large temple complex that was both a municipality, temple, and Buddhist university.
The King dedicated the Preah Khan temple to his father after dedicating Ta Prohm to his mother. Lokeshvara’s statue resembled the King’s father.

4 reviews for 1-day Angkor Wat GRAND LOOP Private Tour with air-con minivan [with the famous Banteay Srei temple]

  1. Rated 5 out of 5

    Andy Bronner

I love the Angkor Grand Circuit Private Tour because the temples are so well-preserved and the tour guide is so knowledgeable. I also love how small the group size is. This means that the tour is more hands-on and personal. The tour guide is also very easy to reach and will always be there when I need them. The tour is well worth the money and it is worth it to me to be able to see these sites.

  2. Rated 5 out of 5

    G. I. Janberga

I love that I can book this trip with a one-day minimum and get the full temple experience. I especially loved the Banteay Srei temple, which was one of the most amazing temples I have seen in my life. This would be a great trip for people who want to see all the major sites in a short amount of time. There is a lot to see in one day and it is a very organized tour. The tour guide is knowledgeable and will give you the history of each site. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see all the major sites in one day and to see an authentic Cambodian experience.

  3. Rated 4 out of 5

    J. O’neill

This is a great option for those who want to visit multiple temples in a short amount of time and are looking for a more personalized experience. With a small group, you will get more time to spend at each temple, and you’ll be able to explore the sites in depth. All the temples included in this tour are beautiful and well-kept, and I was able to see many that I would have never found without this tour.

  4. Rated 5 out of 5

    Charlotte Cameron Wimmer

I loved this tour. I learned so much and was able to explore some temples that I would not have otherwise been able to visit. I had a small group of no more than 8 people, which was perfect because I had a lot of questions, and the tour guide was great. This was my first time using this service and I was very impressed.
