Why a private small group tour?

While it’s still big enough to have a great communal atmosphere, it’s still intimate enough that you may explore each spot on your own. Our small private groups are never more than 8 (eight) people.

We continue to use this as the standard upper limit for the size of small groups because it has consistently been highlighted as an important selling element by all of our client’s testimonials. Because of the frequent positive feedback we’ve received from our guests regarding our ability to handle small groups, we’ve decided that this will be the typical maximum number of people in a group.

Frequently Asked Questions

➤ What was Phnom Bakheng used for?

It was dedicated to Shiva and constructed towards the end of the 9th century during the reign of King Yasovarman (889-910).

Phnom Bakheng was later transformed into a Buddhist temple. Since lost, a massive Sitting Buddha was built on its upper story. A Reclining Buddha of comparable size was carved in stone across its west side.

It is now a famous tourist destination for sunset views of the much larger temple Angkor Wat, which stands in the jungle approximately 1.5 kilometers to the southeast.

Lara Croft’s first glimpse of Angkor Wat through the binoculars is shown in the movie Tomb Raider, from atop Phnom Bakheng.

➤ Who built Ta Keo temple?

The Mountain with Golden Peaks, also known as Ta Keo Temple. If it had been completed, Ta Keo, which is currently an unadorned and bare temple, would have no doubt been among the most beautiful buildings in the Angkor complex.

It was the first Angkorian monument to be built entirely out of sandstone and was constructed by Jayavarman V. It was dedicated to Shiva and was an important religious site.

➤ How big is Ta Keo?

One of the tallest and most expansive temples in all of Angkor, Ta Keo, stands at the height of over 22 meters. Its foundation occupies a space that is roughly 122 by 106 meters, while the outside moat used to measure 255 by 195 meters, although both of these dimensions have since shrunk.

A walkway measuring half a kilometer in length connects the temple’s eastern entrance to a landing stage on the Eastern Baray.

The temple is positioned on an axis running east to west and is accessible via this walkway (a now dry artificial body of water).

From the second terrace, the third and final pyramid ascends a vertical distance of 14 meters through three narrow steps.

The pyramid appears even more imposing due to the absence of any embellishments.

The surface area of its base is sixty square meters, while the area of its summit is forty-seven square meters.

The ascent to the top of the mountain is accomplished via a series of unbroken and extremely steep stairs. At the top of the easternmost set of stairs up to the pinnacle is a statue of Nandi, the bull that Shiva rides.

Y’all, I tell you what – as a momma traveling with my two young’uns, I was so grateful for our kind guide who made sure we all felt safe and still saw magical photo ops at every turn, all while keeping my littles entertained. We captured our happy family amid those breathtaking Cambodian temples thanks to his planning.

    Elizabeth W. – London

Our expert led us to simply perfect locations amongst the jungle vines and crumbling stones to compose elegant pictures one might display whilst hosting an artistic salon. I shall cherish the images we created of Ta Prohm and Bayon temple.

If you’re a sightseeing pro looking for a new challenge, try this photo tour. Between scaling ancient ruins to reach one-of-a-kind vantage points and learning so much history from our patient guide, Mr. Brown, I got shots I never dreamed were possible at Angkor Wat!

As an amateur photographer, this was the perfect temple tour for me to capture unique photos of Angkor’s landmarks. Our guide knew all the best spots and times to photograph stunning architecture and sunrises at places like Pre Rup, Ta Prohm, and Phnom Bakheng.

Thank you so much for today’s tour! Our tour guide, a former NGO manager, provided incredible information and insight, and our driver provided many laughs. It turned out to be a really comprehensive private tour, and both guys were happy for me to change the itinerary to fit our wishes and to have lunch in the local restaurant we decided and we liked the most. In the future, I plan to schedule another tour with this alliance.

Highly Recommend Cambodia trip with this company!
Visiting Angkor Wat and other temples was one of the nicest things I’ve ever done while traveling the world. We are delighted we went, even though it was over 33 degrees. Our private guide and driver were really helpful; I know we would not have seen or done half of what we did if we had not gone on this tour.

  8. Rated 5 out of 5

Angkor Wat includes a large territory and a great number of points of interest, neither of which are simple to find without assistance. Between each attraction, there is a very long walk that must be taken in the scorching heat of the sun. Because this wonderful minivan tour shortens the amount of time spent traveling between destinations, you’ll be able to delight in a greater number of sights. Our experienced and extremely informed tour guide, showed us to locations that we would have never found on our own if we had been on our own.
